YELLOW SPRINGS, Greene County — Yellow Springs police concluded a weekend-long missing persons investigation Sunday, according to a social media post from the Village.

On Friday, September 22, police began investigating and worked with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office to assist after initial attempts to locate the individual were unsuccessful.

The department also asked Buckeye Search and Rescue Dogs for help.
On Sunday, September 24, at 11 a.m., the search was called off and the investigation is now complete, the post says.
The village and police are very grateful for the support of other teams and departments in the area, as well as the community who have stepped forward to help.

Out of respect for the family, no further information was released, the post said.
The identity of the missing person and why the search was stopped is unknown.
