SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won’s wife, Roh Soh-yeong, sued Chey’s affair partner for alimony.

Roh filed a 3 billion won ($2.3 million) alimony lawsuit against Chey’s girlfriend and T&C Foundation president Kim Hee-young in Seoul Family Court on Monday, according to legal sources.

Chey admitted to having an extramarital affair and an illegitimate child in 2015, and filed for divorce against his wife in 2017, citing personality differences.

Roh initially denied the split, but filed a countersuit in 2019, seeking 300 million won in child support payments and 42.29 percent of Chey’s stake in SK Inc.

The first court approved the divorce and ordered the chairman to pay 66.5 billion won in assets and alimony of 100 million won in December. Both parties have appealed the decision.
