Mike Hutchinson is a 911 communicator for the Windsor Police Department who often spends his lunchtime outside. On May 28, over lunch, he spotted a person who he realized matched the description of a recently missing person. After police called the sergeant in charge of the investigation, the individual was successfully identified and safely located.

According to police, Hutchinson immediately got out of his vehicle, called 911, and began CPR, which successfully saved the person’s life until paramedics arrived.
“Words cannot express how proud we are of Mike’s commitment to being a member of the Windsor Police Service, the community and the people within it. Two separate incidents in two days and he was able to help with both,” police said in a social media post.
Police say all of their members and staff play a vital role in keeping the service running smoothly and making the community feel safe.
“We are now considering giving him more lunch chores in the near future,” the post reads.
