UPDATE – Police discover lacking individual’s car, unidentified human stays | WKZO | All the pieces Kalamazoo

BARRY COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM / FM) – The Barry County Sheriff’s Office released an update on a missing person case last July.

Earlier, police reported that 41-year-old Rachel Lynn Hazen was last seen on Wednesday July 21st. She reportedly drove a silver 2005 Ford Escape with no license plate.

On Tuesday, the 2005 Ford Escape was located in a soybean field in Maple Grove Township using a Michigan State Police helicopter.

Three K-9 units also found human remains near the vehicle.

The incident is currently being investigated, the dead person has not yet been identified, according to the police.

Officials say updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
