What began Monday night as a custody swap in the Bryan Police Department parking lot ended with two women arrested, their car totaled and the child handed over to other family members.
BPD arrest reports say the father was prevented from leaving the home after the exchange.
This led to an argument that saw the child’s father and his current girlfriend spat at by 27-year-old Ashley Tennell, from Bryan. She is the current girlfriend of the child’s mother, 23-year-old Felicity Conley of Bryan.
Then Conley is accused of punching her ex’s current girlfriend in the face.
Before leaving the parking lot, Tennell is accused of pointing a gun at the child’s father and girlfriend.
BPD was contacted after the pickup truck driven by the child’s father was struck by the car Tennell was driving.
Officers recovered a gun and arrested Tennell on charges of family violence, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and family violence for spitting.
Conley was arrested for domestic violence, which physically injured her ex’s current girlfriend.
As of July 5, Conley remained in prison in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
Tennell remained in prison on July 5. No bail was set for the domestic violence charges. The charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was set at $40,000.
