Leonnig claims in the book that secret service agents reported the relationship between Vanessa and an unnamed agent. The agent was not disciplined, however, as neither he nor the secret service were the official guards of Vanessa at the time. Trump Jr. reportedly asked in 2017 that he and his family be stripped of 24-hour security from the Secret Service because they wanted more privacy. However, the protection of the secret service was restored in less than a month.

Why did Donald Jr. and Vanessa Trump divorce?
This shocking new revelation can only be one of the reasons their relationship ended. Vanessa filed for divorce from Trump Jr. in March 2018. They married in 2005. After their divorce, they said in a joint statement that “they will always have great respect for one another”.
In February 2019, Trump Jr and Vanessa settled their divorce. “We concluded our agreement at the end of last year,” said the former couple in a joint statement. “We are incredibly lucky to have five great children and we are determined to raise them together. Our children and their happiness will always be our first priority. “
Sources said Vanessa decided to end the marriage because her ex-husband treated her “like a second-class citizen” and was tight on her budget – so much so that she had to turn to her mother for financial help. A source said: “He gives her very little help and has kept her on a tight budget. She does not live a lavish life and very rarely can pick up a check at dinner. “

A second source said, “Don Jr. has never been generous with money. Vanessa had to rely on her mother for financial help for her personal needs. “
“They had problems before they even got married. People told her not to marry him before the wedding, ”a source also said. “She has interviewed divorce lawyers before [Trump’s presidency]. Nobody thought he was going to win. He won and she decided to stay until his term is over. But she just couldn’t take it anymore. “
There were also rumors of infidelity with Celebrity Apprentice star Aubrey O’Day who claimed she was having an affair with Trump Jr. A source who worked with Celebrity Apprentice said Trump Jr was in the shower and his phone was on the bedside table when “sexy texts” came through from O’Day. “That’s how Vanessa found out and the affair ended,” the source said. “To Don Jr. [the affair] was very exciting. Aubrey was very, very in love with Don. He liked her, but she was definitely more interested in him. “
