Wife scalds husband’s genitals in infidelity argument; she poured boiling water over his genitals whereas he slept

HARARE: Hell has no anger like a despised woman.

The old adage was aptly rendered when an unnamed woman seared her husband’s genitals with boiling water.

The woman appeared before Harare Magistrate Stanford Mambanje, who found her guilty of assault.

She was sentenced to 16 months in prison with probation.

Eight months were suspended on condition of good behavior and the other eight months set aside for 280 hours of community service with Epworth Council.

According to court records, on September 3 this year, the woman became angry in bed and poured boiling water over the genitals of her husband Tafadzwa Kachepa, 33, who was fast asleep.

This was after the two finished making love.

The woman had accused her husband of infidelity after discovering explicit messages from a suspicious friend.

Kachepa, who appeared to be in pain during the court hearing, submitted an affidavit as evidence of injuries to his genitals, thighs and buttocks.
