Bokakhat: The conflict between human elephant in various parts of Assam has taken a serious turn. People's sleep was disturbed in many places. While the people in Assam are proud of elephants, they are now pending a serious disaster due to this persistent conflict. The situation has intensified year after year and has now reached a critical point.
The destruction of large forest habitats, which once native to the wild animals of humans, has led to a strong crisis for wild elephants in terms of corridors, protection and food. As a result, elephants have become increasingly aggressive, which led to sacrifices not only in humans, but also among the elephants themselves. In the Golaghat district, this conflict has now expanded to areas that have not yet been affected. The lush green of the Golaghat interventions has recently fallen victim to. According to the available data, 30 people have died in the Golaghat Forest Division due to this conflict.
A herd of around 30 wild elephants in the Numaligarh Tea Estate became aggressive during the day. Under the herd, a GPS-followed wild elephant is repeatedly accused by the residents. The herd grazes on the National Highway 39 and the BMP Connecting Road and hinders the public movement.
The residents of the BMP area remain scared and fear that the situation can deteriorate during the nights.
