Woman pours scorching water on her husband’s privates on suspicion of infidelity

A 29-year-old woman suspecting her husband’s fidelity poured hot water on his privates while he slept at his home in a village near Kaveripakkam in Ranipet district of Tamil Nadu.

L Thangraj, 32, a private company supervisor in Sriperumbudur, suffered 50% burns to his private parts. He was admitted to Walajah Government General Hospital and later transferred to Vellore Government Hospital for extended care.

Kaveripakkam Police arrested his wife T. Priya, 29, and opened an investigation under Sections 294(b) (obscene acts and songs), 324 (voluntarily causing injury by dangerous weapons or means), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation). ) and 506 a (ii) (if the threat is intended to cause death or serious injury) of the IPC.

The couple, who married seven years ago, have a son and a daughter, according to initial reports. They often quarreled after the woman began to suspect his infidelity. Thangaraj went to bed in the early hours of Saturday after one such argument.

In a fit of rage, Priya collected hot water from the bathroom water heater in a bucket and poured it over her husband’s privates while he slept. Thangaraj was burned and screamed for help. His neighbors came to his aid and took him to the hospital.
