Yo Yo Honey Singh pays Rs1 crore alimony to spouse Shalini Talwar after divorce

Indian rapper and singer Yo Yo Honey Singh has officially ended his marriage to ex-wife Shalini Talwar after 21 years of marriage.

For the layman, Shalini had accused Hirdesh Singh, known professionally as Yo Yo Honey Singh, of domestic violence. Now the couple have officially parted ways and if reports are to be believed the singer has had to pay a whopping Rs 1 crore in alimony settlement.

According to a report published by India Today, Honey Singh and Shalini reached an agreement on alimony and alimony during arbitration proceedings in the Saket Court in Delhi on Thursday, September 8. The next hearing of the case will take place on March 20, 2023.

Last year, the music composer opened up his equation with Shalini Talwar. Even then, the singer said the allegations made by his then-wife were false and malicious.

“I have never made a public statement or press release in the past, despite being criticized for my writing, speculation about my health and generally negative media coverage. However, I see no merit in maintaining a deliberate silence this time as some of the allegations were directed at my family, my elderly parents and my younger sister who stood by me and made my world through some very difficult and difficult times. The allegations are cynical and defamatory (sic),” he wrote in an Instagram post.
