The 33-year-old pleaded guilty of not receiving and owning child pornography on Friday April 30. A federal indictment charges Josh with knowingly receiving and owning child pornography in May 2019 – including pictures of minors under the age of 12, OK! reported.
Judge Erin Wiedemann Schedule a hearing for next week. “Given the nature of the charges brought against him, the court would likely require a third party administrator to live with him and ensure compliance with the terms of the bond,” she warned during the hearing, adding that Josh would not allow minors to live with him would be released.

The arrest was originally believed to be related to a federal investigation in 2019. Josh had previously had his shuttered car dealership raided by Homeland Security. There was an “ongoing federal investigation” at the time, but no charges have been brought against him.

The sisters revealed that Josh had touched her inappropriately while she was sleeping, and they didn’t find out until after he confessed to their parents. Josh adhered to his transgressions and apologized after his sister’s bomb tell-all.
“Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably, which I feel very sorry for and deeply regret. I have hurt others, including my family and close friends,” he said in a statement to PEOPLE. “I confessed this to my parents, who took several steps to help me deal with the situation,” Josh continued. “We spoke to the authorities to whom I confessed to my wrongdoing, and my parents made sure that I and those affected by my actions receive advice.”

Josh took part in a three-month treatment program in Little Rock, Ark. When he was 14. Part, but was never charged with the harassment claims made against him.
The marriage was shaken by infidelity
Josh met his wife Anna in 2006 as a teenager at a Christian convention. The two began advertising two years later in September 2008, tying the knot. A cheating scandal rocked their marriage in 2015 after Gawker reported Josh appeared to have an active account on Ashley Madison – a website dedicated to organizing trysts for married people to cheat on their spouses.

Josh eventually confessed to cheating on his wife and admitted that he was addicted to porn in an apologetic statement posted on the Duggar family website.
“I was the greatest hypocrite of all time. While advocating belief and family values, I have been secretly watching pornography on the internet for the past few years and this has become a secret addiction and I have been unfaithful to my wife,” his statement says PEOPLE “I am so ashamed of the double life that I have lived and saddened by the hurt, pain and shame my sin has caused my wife and family, and especially Jesus and all those who believe in him confess. ”

Josh’s most recent arrest came days after his wife announced that she was pregnant with the couple’s seventh child. On Friday April 23, Anna shared a video of the sex reveal when the couple stood under a transparent umbrella filled with pink confetti. “It’s a girl !!!!!” The 32-year-old has given her Instagram post a title. “We’re overjoyed to announce baby seven is on the way and we can’t wait to hold her in our arms this fall!”

Accused of stealing someone’s identity
Two years after he admitted to cheating on his wife, among other things, the former reality TV star was again at the center of another scandal! Radar reported that the used car salesman was involved in a lawsuit accusing Josh of stealing a stranger’s identity in order to preserve a classified online personality.
The lawsuit was filed by a Los Angeles-based DJ Matt McCarthy, allegedly used Josh McCarthy’s personal photos for his own profiles on sites like the infamous Ashley Madison, OKCupid, and even the social media platform Twitter. The DJ claimed that he suffered from “anxiety, depression, embarrassment, humiliation, loss of self-esteem, and extreme and severe mental agony and distress” in connection with the incident as a result of false identity.

Shady real estate tactic
In 2019, Josh faced a real estate lawsuit. A man named Carl Echols first sued his cousin Edward Lewis and Josh’s firm, ALB Investments LLC, claimed it bought Lewis properties for $ 17,500 in the early ’00s. Echols argued in court that Josh bought the land for $ 1,000 years later without his knowledge while he was still living on the property, according to Fox News.
After a protracted legal battle, Josh lost the lawsuit in October after missing a court date and property returned to Echols, NBC subsidiary KNWA reported.
