Princess Diana did not just like the Chanel brand, reminding her of Prince Charles’ infidelity

Widely known for her elegant fashion choices, Prince Diana stopped wearing a major high-end brand after her divorce from Prince Charles.

While many speculated for years as to the reason for this change, it was later revealed that the look at the brand’s logo reminded the Princess of Wales of Charles and Camilla.

In 1996, Diana made the confessions to designer Jayson Brundson in Australia.

He told Harper’s Bazaar, “It was definitely the timing, it was after the divorce. She would have seen linked Cs and they would have just reminded her of Charles and Camilla. The shoes were pretty bold from Chanel, I think they had gold Cs on them.

“And I think for the photo optics, that’s what people would have focused on considering it was so fresh even after the divorce.”

Charles and Diana separated in 1996. The couple are parents to Prince William and Harry. Charles married Camilla Parker Bowles a few years after Diana’s death.
