The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a home on Smith Road in First Assessment Township on Thursday morning after a man reported that “Mike” told him that the man’s ex-wife ” away”.

When law enforcement got to Munger’s home, he told them, “You’re too late, she’s gone,” according to the criminal complaint.

Officers noticed blood on Munger’s clothing and found a dead woman inside the house with a belt around her neck and blood on the floor, the complaint adds.

The ad also states that after his arrest, Munger said he and the woman had been in a relationship, but that they had an argument about infidelity earlier in the day. During the argument, he told her he “did what he did” and then strangled her with a belt and hit her with a baseball bat.

The sheriff’s office identified the woman as 43-year-old Lynnie Ann Loucks.

Munger appeared in court for the first time on Friday and had his bail set at $3 million. His next appearance is scheduled for May 12th.
