Kerala horror: Man kills spouse on suspicion of infidelity

In a shocking incident reported from Varkala in Kerala, a man identified as Aneesh was taken into police custody for murdering his 25-year-old wife, named Nikhita, after a dispute broke out between them over their fidelity. The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6.

Varkala is a popular tourist destination near Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram. An argument broke out between Aneesha and Nikhita in the middle of the night, according to police, and Nikhita was murdered in the bedroom around 2.30am on Tuesday.

“Aneesh had first strangled Nikhita with a towel and tried to hang her from the fan. Unable to do so, he picked up a lamp, stabbed her with it and hit her on the head. She died of a head wound after bleeding to death,” police said.

Upon hearing the woman’s scream, Aneesh’s parents and brother reportedly rushed into the room, only to find Nikhita lying in a pool of blood. Although she was taken with her to Varkala Taluk Hospital, she could not be saved.

The couple recently married on July 8th. Aneesh earned his living as a mechanic in Dubai. The couple had returned to Kerala almost 10 days ago since Aneesh had to undergo leg surgery.

According to the police, Aneesh suspected Nikhita’s allegiance and that was the main reason for her killing. Aneesh and Nikhita fought regularly and he suspected she was having an extramarital affair.

Varkala Police have filed a case and are investigating further.
