Angered by infidelity, physician commits suicide

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A 32-year-old female doctor committed suicide by hanging herself in Green City, Madhotal township, Jabalpur on Wednesday.

According to reports, the woman was Dr. Kirti Jain on her husband’s infidelity Dr. Swapnil Jain upset. During the incident, Swapnil had taken his children to his private pharmacy in Vijayanagar.

When the police received the information about the incident, they reached the spot and removed the body from the ceiling. The body was later taken to Medical College Hospital for an autopsy. No suicide note was found at the site.

Police said that Dr. Kirti Jain was stationed at the Government AYUSH Pharmacy in Jabalpur, Kaimori. Her husband Swapnil had taken his five-year-old son and two-year-old daughter to his homeopathic pharmacy in Vijayanagar. After reaching the pharmacy, Swapnil sent an employee to his home to get the air conditioner. The employee who got home told him on the phone that the gate of the house was locked from the inside. Swapnil asked him to open the gate and go inside. As soon as the clerk entered the house, he found Dr. Kirti hanging there before.

At the same time, Kirti’s relative Amit Jain, a Bhopal resident, said Kirti told them about her husband’s infidelity. Swapnil had illicit relationships with many women. Swapnil hassled them from the start. He also took the earnings from Kirti. He had also asked for money to open his hospital. He continued torturing Kirti even though he complied with his demands.

Kirti was fed up with him and had asked her father for a transfer to Bhopal. She had sent the message via WhatsApp to the family group she had suffered from for the past seven years.

However, the police registered one case and launched an investigation into the matter.
