The Prime Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, launched 1,111 water tankers on Sunday, which are equipped with location monitoring systems in the summer months to improve sales in the city.
The Delhi Jal Board headquarters follows the tankers with an IT dashboard.
At an event in Burari, Guppa said: “This is a step towards complete transparency. This is not the final solution. We will be working on a new city map to provide water from the tap to every resident. '
Water Minister Parvesh Verma and Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa took part in the event, accompanied by BJP MPs and Mlas.
The financial budget of Delhi Govt 2025-26 has set 9,000 billion GBP for water-related initiatives. According to the Gupta, this allocation includes various projects, including Smart Mess Installation, etc.
