A few days ago, the long-awaited trailer of Shakun Batras Gehraiyaan was unveiled on YouTube, which starred Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa. While Gehraiyaan’s trailer received mixed reactions from netizens, it caused quite a stir on social media due to Deepika and Siddhant’s sizzling chemistry.
Gehraiyaan: Ananya Panday reveals Shakun Batra’s unexpected reaction after performing a crying scene
During her recent tete-a-tete with Mid-Day, “The choice we all made was to watch this relationship rather than judge it. Just because the film includes the concept of infidelity doesn’t mean we condone or glorify it. We merely observe four characters, their reactions and complexities. It was important to us not to judge the relationship. We leave it up to the audience and are very interested in hearing their perspective on it.
When asked if she’s ever been in the same place as Tia, her character in Gehraiyaan, Ananya said she’s only 23 years old, so it’s not fair for her to say she went through something like that.
“This is probably one of the most emotional characters I’ve ever played. It was cathartic playing a role like this because I had to get a lot out of myself. I needed to tap into my emotions and

them in depth. Once you pass the barrier of wondering what people are thinking and exploring your most vulnerable side, only the best in you comes out,” said the Khaali Peeli actor.

“She doesn’t make anyone feel overwhelmed and she’s warm and loving,” Panday assured.
