Girl kills son, makes an attempt suicide after discovering out about her husband’s infidelity

Mettuguda resident kills son and attempts suicide.

Hyderabad: A Mettuguda resident named Thappeta Divya Teja slits her son’s wrists and throat, made him drink disinfectant while she did the same, and jumped off the roof of a house. The one-year-old child died instantly, while the woman survived.

Upon investigation, police found that the woman had engaged in this behavior after discovering that her husband, a man named Thappeta Mahendar, was in a close relationship with another woman.

Further investigation revealed that the husband had married Divya Teja under the pretense of being a CA but was in fact unemployed.

According to the police report, he had not looked after his wife since their marriage last year. Along with his family, he had pestered her for extra dowry to add another floor to their house. The woman is currently being treated for serious injuries to her legs.
