Love Is Blind star Cole opened up concerning the “horrible” reunion and addressed infidelity rumors

Did Cole Barnett entertain other women while engaged to Zanab Jaffrey? That’s the question many “Love Is Blind” fans are asking after watching the reunion episode that aired this Wednesday.

Barnett is now trying to clear the air by working out his side of the story.

He opened up about his experiences on Season 3 of the Netflix dating show, particularly the “terrible” reunion episode – in which he felt “attacked” by his ex-fiancé and other cast members, he admitted in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Barnett denied Jaffrey’s numerous allegations during the reunion episode and he continues to stand by his version of events.

“The story is the same as the one I told at the reunion, which is, I didn’t try to kiss a girl at my bachelorette party,” Barnett told EW.

“We went to a rodeo. We chased cows around and went into a saloon specially designed for us. there [were] no other people there. And then I went home in an Uber that Netflix bought for us.”

After the bachelor party, he claims he went home and went straight to bed, so he’s still wondering where Jaffrey’s accusations came from.

“I just think it’s a ridiculous story to see her hit on other men at her bachelorette party,” Barnett shot back.

Barnett also addressed the claims of Season 3 contestant Brennon Lemieux that he flirted with other women while engaged to Jaffrey.

“Brennon claimed I hit on a girl right after we got engaged. That really surprised me because I didn’t know what he was talking about,” Barnett explained.

Barnett explained that after he got engaged, he spoke to other guests at the hotel about the experience and wanted to share his excitement as he was not allowed to have his phone and contact his friends and family.

“We weren’t really supposed to tell people, but I did anyway because it felt ridiculous to pull through,” Barnett said. “For Brennon to say I hit on a girl just isn’t true because I’ve only spoken to people about just getting engaged to a girl I’ve never met.”

The infidelity allegations were just the tip of the iceberg. During the reunion, she also accused him of destroying her confidence and causing her to develop an eating disorder.

After the reunion episode aired, many online commentators called Jaffrey a “bad guy” and went for Barnett instead. Infamous Season 2 contestant Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee even compared her to actress Amber Heard, referencing her very public divorce process with ex-husband Johnny Depp.

In response, Jaffrey sarcastically “apologized” for telling her truth. However, she still “stands by everything I said”.

It’s safe to say that Barnett and Jaffrey had a tumultuous relationship after their engagement in the pods. It culminated in a dramatic reunion episode in which he eventually broke down while apologizing for hurting her nearly 18 months later.
