Jan. 22 (THEWILL) — It is my prayer that you will marry a woman who is a woman and not a knife,” says Pastor Precious Iginla in an emotionally charged voice as he opened up about his wife Blessing Joseph’s allegations in an interview she granted to Chude Jideonwo.

Precious Iginla, the pastor in charge of the prophetic Fire Embassy International Church in Port Harcourt, while admitting that their marriage had broken up, explained that his older brother, Prophet Joshua Iginla, had nothing to do with the Brouhaha, on the contrary to what his ex-wife claimed.

He insists it was more likely his brother that made him keep the marriage going for so long.

According to him, at no point did the prophetess Iginla object to their marriage from the outset, as she claimed.

“Despite her low academic qualifications, my family accepted her and my brother even accepted us into his service.

“When we married immediately, she objected to my working with my brother in the ministry. When the nagging was a lot and she knew my weakness that I hate trouble, she forced me to leave my brother’s thriving ministry just to please her.

“That was my biggest regret as things went wrong for us. She made me turn my back on my family, and even after my parents died, she didn’t attend my father’s and mother’s funerals,” Precious claimed.

He also revealed that their argumentative attitude and willfulness influenced the ministry they began together.

According to him, during service she will go to the back of the church and eat peanuts.

“She physically beats members and has caused us to shut down the service three times, making herself a nuisance on duty.

“Can you believe that she leaves the house in the morning without saying where she is going and leaves the children with me to take care of them.

“She will not bathe them, nor take care of their feeding and schooling. I do that myself. I wake them up, bathe them, feed them and take them to school myself. She will come back late at night with no regrets.

“I knew she was cheating on me, but I endured it all for the sake of religion”

Speaking further, Precious Iginla admitted that when he couldn’t take it again, he decided to be reconciled with his family, and like a prodigal child, his elder brother, the Prophet Iginla, took him back and gave to him a duplex and 5 million naira cash to start from scratch.

“Can you imagine that in the midst of everything we did to my brother, he forgave us and took us back with love and kindness.

“Shortly thereafter, this annoying woman started asking too much. Instead of investing the money my brother gave us, she squandered it on a frivolous lifestyle. My brother got wind of this and called me to warn me against spending lavishly.

“Then I decided to sell the semi-detached house and bought five apartment blocks. We both agreed to that. We chose to live in one and rent out the other four apartments to support family and ministry in Port Harcourt and also to be financially independent.

“Unfortunately, like a possessed woman, she has changed her mind and claims that she cannot live in an apartment again, that we should sell it and move to Abuja and live an extravagant life.

“My objection to her diabolical entreaties was the beginning of my suffering and her renewed attack on my older brother.”

According to Precious Iginla, she called his elder brother Prophet Iginla in Abuja that she will fabricate lies against him and defile his name if he does not give her 3 million naira so that she can leave her home and move to Abuja.

“I was privy to the call she made to my brother. My brother refused to give in to her cheap blackmail, and she launched a smear campaign against him.

“She started a Facebook program claiming I hit her just to target my family. Do you know that sometimes I run out of the house in my boxers to avoid her getting in trouble? If that fails, she’ll come back online and say we’ve worked it out.”

Finally, on the subject of domestic violence, Pastor Precious denied the allegation, saying she made it up to get at his family. He claimed he was the victim of her domestic violence. According to him, on several occasions she tore his clothes to shreds, beat him and tied him up.

“Once she grabbed all my clothes and set them on fire. She told me that no one will believe me when she lied to me about domestic violence. I’m the victim of domestic violence, not her.

“She doesn’t care about her duty as a woman, wife or mother. I never denied her access to the children. She failed them and I never denied her access to them. You are with me at our house in Port Harcourt.

“Can you believe she tried to indoctrinate my son to use me as a useless father but he refused? And mind you, I didn’t initiate the divorce, she did it herself. All she cares about is being on social media or being a blogger.

“You can go to their page and confirm. She’s only interested in trending online and mind you I’m not the target, she wants to ride on the popularity of my brother’s fame to get trending.
