Tristan Thompson is finally getting clean on time for the new year, and very publicly.
In case you missed it, the 30-year-old NBA player admitted in court documents that he slept with a personal trainer named Maralee Nichols several times earlier this year while in a relationship with his casual girlfriend and baby mom. Khloe Kardashian. Nichols claimed Thompson was the father of their baby, who was born in December 2021, and now the athlete confirms that.
According to Us Weekly, Thompson went to his Instagram story to publicly apologize to everyone involved, and Kardashian in particular, and revealed that a paternity test had been taken and he is, in fact, the baby’s father:
“Today, the paternity test results show that I had a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. I sincerely apologize to everyone I have hurt or disappointed both publicly and privately during this ordeal. “
Going on to a Kardashian-only stake, Thompson wrote:
“Khloé, you don’t deserve that. You don’t deserve the grief and humiliation I have inflicted on you. You don’t deserve the way I’ve treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not been in keeping with the way I see you. I have the greatest respect and love for you. No matter what you think. Again, I’m so incredibly sorry. “
Kardashian has remained pretty calm about the entire situation, with the exception of a tweet in which she admitted she was “barely in” [her] own body now. ”She didn’t confirm why, but her fans could guess why. A source close to the 37-year-old reality star said in December that she was “upset” about the situation and found the whole thing “sad”.
Of course, this isn’t the first or second time Thompson has cheated on Kardashian. Their relationship was plagued by infidelity on the part of the athlete, and we saw the single mother open up about her heartbreak in Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Despite everything, however, Kardashian kept making decisions to bring Thompson back. The two share a child, a three-year-old daughter named True, and have friendly parents, even if they are not romantically involved.
