PFloral couple Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert graced Ebony’s April cover and opened about what it’s like to live a marriage in public.

One of the biggest annoyances within a celebrity relationship is the onslaught of constant rumors making the rounds on social media. That’s what happened to Taylor and Shump when the latter was dominating Dancing with the Stars, and he was accused of cheating on Teyana. To make matters worse, another rumor was ignited claiming the infidelity prompted Taylor to abuse drugs.

Taylor has rightly denounced the rumors, revealing how much gossip like this is damaging.

“Those kind of rumors and lies hurt the most because I’m proud to be a mom and I would never be so irresponsible. I have never taken drugs for a day in my life, nor do I smoke and drink only occasionally. My health problems have never been a secret. We actually shared them externally with the world on our reality TV show, we have love‘ Teyana wrote. “So it’s extremely hurtful when someone takes that and makes a joke out of it. It makes me emotional just thinking about it.”

NBA champion Iman Shumpert also responded to the rumors and described them as disrespectful.

“The way it’s broken down I guess bro I can’t believe this is real. As if we were waking up to it. Like we’re actually talking over a TikTok? I don’t know where people get off. I’m living a real life and this is really my wife, these are really our kids, we really love each other and we’re going to work really hard.

Elsewhere in the interview, Shump opened up about how, aside from the reality show he co-hosts with his wife and winning Dancing with the Stars, he’s still a ballplayer who wants minutes on the hardwood. The 31-year-old hasn’t played in a year and a half, but his goal is still to help a team reach a deep playoff run, so he still trains 4+ hours a day. But now that he’s raising two children, he knows how important stability is in a team.
