Nisha Rawal shouted out to Karan Mehra for playing ‘sympathy card’

Popular TV actors and ex-spouses Nisha Rawal and Karan Mehra have been making headlines for a while due to their very public and bitter breakup.

Last year, Rawal claimed she faced domestic violence while married to her estranged husband.

Mehra accused her of having an extramarital affair last month. And now Rawal has refuted the allegations.

Why is this story important?

  • The bad blood between the two began in May 2021, when Rawal filed a domestic violence complaint against Mehra, accusing him of infidelity.
  • After denying her claims, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata actor accused Hai Rawal of having an extramarital affair with Rohit Satia. The latter publicly denied the accusation.
  • Now Rawal has revealed her side of the story.

“Let’s do this in a civilized way,” Rawal said

Rawal held a press conference in Bandra on Monday and dismissed all of Mehra’s claims, saying “I am not accountable to anyone.”

She also sent a message to her ex-husband, saying: “Please stop this. This becomes a drama and it becomes a media process. Let’s do this in a civilized way.

“I want to raise a child in a healthy environment”

Rawal also expressed that she was scared for herself and her child Kavish, asking, “What if he watches the videos tomorrow?”

“I’m not playing the sympathy card, Karan actually plays the sympathy card. I want to raise a child in a healthy environment, and if Karan Mehra has nothing to contribute, please hold back. Let me live my life,” Rawal added.

Rawal indirectly briefed Mehra on ‘due legal process’

She also spoke about Mehra’s character witnesses, saying, “I don’t want to pay any attention to these people. I think they should mind their own business. These people are dramatic.”

“Whatever I do, I do for my child. If Karan wants to do something, there is due legal process,” she concluded.

Rawal and Mehra married in 2012.
