Noting that the woman is strong and cannot shirk her responsibilities, the court ordered the woman’s husband to pay an interim maintenance of Rs 12,000 per month. Senior Judge JM Chauhan delivered this important result.

Raj and Priya (both names changed) were married; But Priya was not treated well by Raj and his family. So she lived at home. She filed a lawsuit against the family under the Anti-Domestic Violence Act and asked the court for interim maintenance. “Priya was thrown out of the house by her Nananda.” Nandu was not given to her. That’s why she had to stay at home. Even when she was a mother-in-law, her parents sent her money. At the time of marriage, the husband was working in a private company. He had a salary of forty thousand rupees; There is also an apartment in Chikhali and the plot in Narayan Peth has been released for redevelopment. Priya had a job as a yoga teacher at a school; But she had to quit her job because her in-laws were scrutinizing her,” argued Priya’s lawyer Adv Neeta Bhawar managed it.

Raj refused to accept these things. “Priya is under the influence of Maher.” Due to the stress at home, I had to quit my previous job; But now that I am working in another company, the salary is only 26,800 rupees. I have parental responsibility; The same applies to the home loan. Priya is well educated, she can work as a yoga teacher. Their parents also earn. Therefore, the application for interim maintenance should be rejected,” Raj demanded. After hearing arguments from both sides, the court granted the wife an interim maintenance award.
