Jeannie Mai and Jeezy are fighting over custody – SheKnows

Jeannie Mai and her estranged husband Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins struggle to remain amicable while dealing with divorce and custody.

On Tuesday, “The Real” host responded to the musician's previous claims that she was “supervising” her nearly 2-year-old daughter Monaco. In a court filing obtained by People, Mai's lawyers claimed that her reluctance to allow Jeezy time with her toddler was due to safety concerns rather than unfounded pettiness.

Jeezy's submission in question was made in November. His lawyers said he “doesn’t believe that [Mai] acted maliciously or with specific intent to cause harm,” but he believes she “acted as a gatekeeper in this matter.” [Jeezy] Exercising parental leave [Monaco]The filing further alleged that the mother-of-one was “causing confusion and tension between the parties and working to suppress development” between Jeezy and her daughter.

In her newly filed rebuttal, Mai claimed she gave her estranged husband all the dates he wanted to see Monaco, as well as extra time to spend with their daughter during the holidays. The ongoing dispute comes after Jeezy filed for divorce in September after two years of marriage.
