Kehlani files for restraining order against ex, accusing him of abuse in custody battle | News

Last week, Kehlanis ex, Javaughn Young-White, applied for sole custody of their 5-year-old daughter, Adeya NomiHowever, new court documents and alleged evidence have emerged in which both parties accuse each other of abuse.

On Tuesday (August 13), the “After Hours” singer filed a restraining order against Young-White, TMZ reported.

According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Kehlani admitted that Young-White had been abusive for years. Nevertheless, they decided to file for the restraining order in mid-June after he allegedly became “angry” and “went through [their] locked bedroom doors [in] a fit of rage.”

The document continues: “When he takes our daughter into his care, she is returned dirty and reeking of marijuana… He is not doing well emotionally and appears to suffer from periods of despair and often tirades of uncontrollable anger and rage. When agitated, he cannot stop moving and throws his arms in the air while yelling and screaming at me, often throwing objects and calling me horrible names.”

After the reports came out, Kehlani wrote on her Instagram story: “I have not made a statement nor have I told TMZ about my business.”

Young-White later accused the Oakland native in his Instagram stories of attributing the abuse to her as his own. He also shared alleged text messages in which he begged her to leave him alone.

Kehlani and Young-White were together from 2018 to 2019 and she currently has sole custody and custody of Adeya.
