In 2016, after more than 15 years in the legal field, Darshann Marie Wienick, Esq., founded her own practice, the Law Offices of Darshann M. Wienick, where she has worked as an attorney since then. This year also marked a significant turning point in her professional life in other ways, as she also dedicated herself to social work.
As part of her transition from commercial litigation to family law, Ms. Wienick attended the High Conflict Institute, where she received extensive training from that organization's co-founder, Bill Eddy, Esq., LCSW. Under his guidance, she learned to deal with high-conflict legal situations, particularly those related to co-parenting and family law. Strengthened by her time at the High Conflict Institute, Ms. Wienick opened Coaching at Darshann LLC in 2023. Through this organization, she provides co-parenting coaching to parents involved in high-conflict custody disputes, with the ultimate goal of helping parents learn to manage emotions and ensure they always act in the best interests of the children.
Ms. Wienick's unique career path stems in part from her own difficult childhood and from witnessing a loved one endure a highly contentious custody battle. These experiences awakened in her a passion to seek justice in such cases, especially for the children involved. Driven by this passion, Ms. Wienick completed her first solo attempt in July 2024, a significant career milestone. In this case, she represented the mother of a 6-year-old boy whose father wanted to move the child to another county. Ms. Wienick worked tirelessly on this removal case, collaborating with an expert witness to successfully advocate for a positive outcome for her client – one that she firmly believes will provide stability in the little boy's life.
Beyond her career, Ms. Wienick is a devoted wife and mother of three children. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, learning French and participating in coursing events with her Salukis. Looking forward, Ms. Wienick plans to take the Licensed Clinical Social Worker exam in California within the next 12 months. She also intends to use her education and expertise in social work to serve as a litigator. Her long-term goal is to establish a diversion court in California that focuses on high-conflict custody cases. Ms. Wienick continues to work tirelessly to help families obtain the best possible outcome for their children in complex legal proceedings.
