According to Kerr County officials, a woman was arrested in AMBER Alert for child custody violations
Officers with the Kerr County Sheriff's Special Operations Division have arrested a wanted woman in a case related to an AMBER alert reported last week.
Talaya Shea Graham, 32, of Ingram was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for interference with custody of a child, KCSO said.
During the investigation, officers discovered that Graham was planning to move to another state with a six-year-old boy, thereby violating a court order.
Because the boy's whereabouts were unknown at the time, DPS issued an AMBER alert.
Although the boy was found and the AMBER Alert was lifted Friday night, authorities still did not know where Graham was. Officers subsequently issued a warrant for her arrest for interference with custody.
Authorities have not released any information on whether Joseph Graham, the man named in the AMBER alert along with Talaya Graham, has been located or is still at large.
“Our special unit worked around the clock on this case to save this child,” said Sheriff Larry Leitha. “Thanks to their tireless work, this case was solved without further harm to those involved or the public.”
Talaya Graham was remanded to the Kerr County Jail on $30,000 bail.
