A Benton Harbor man in a custody battle with a woman has pleaded guilty after prosecutors said he fired multiple rounds at her home.

Carlton Antoni Kelly Jr., 28, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault with intent less than murder, firing a firearm in or on a building and gun crime.

In return, several stronger counts were dropped. The shooting happened at the 1000 block of Church Street last month.

A woman in Kelly’s getaway car will be tried on charges of assault with intent to murder and other charges in early June.
