MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — After negotiating the terms of their divorce, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner appear to have reached an agreement.

Custody was the issue here, Cherish discussed with TMZ’s Towanda Robinson.

“Yeah, so it looks like the mediation they did last week helped,” Robinson said. “They were able to agree on some temporary conditions for now.

“By January, it looks like the couple will be separating their children in roughly two-week increments. Sophie can take the children to the UK when they are in her care, and Joe can keep them in the United States when they are with him. So it’s just really refreshing to see that they’ve been able to at least get something going for now, especially with the holidays coming up.”

But what will that look like in the long term?

That’s what’s still pending.

“So since this is a temporary matter, it appears they are close to reaching a final agreement, a custody agreement,” Robinson said. “So once that’s implemented, they’ll have to get it approved by a judge and then they’ll be in a more permanent phase.

“It looks like they probably won’t meet that two-week schedule. But for now they’re just happy that there’s a place here and they don’t have to worry about it for now.

“But as I said, after January there appears to be a more permanent situation once a judge finally agrees to this.”
