speak their piece. Christina Hall (nee Haack) has reached an agreement with ex-husband ant instead amid her contentious custody battle over son Hudson — but not without telling her side of the story.
“I am mentally exhausted by the recent false allegations against me,” the Christina on the Coast, 39, star shared alongside a selfie on Instagram on Sunday, October 2. “Hudson’s father tried to turn my family, friends and fans against me through manipulation tactics and false information. This has had a major impact on me and my household. Because of this, I have made the decision not to feature Hudson on Instagram, my TV shows, or any other social platform until he is old enough to make that decision for himself.”
The Nashville resident – who is also mom to Taylor, 12, and Brayden, 7, with ex-husband Tarek El Mussa – added: “I’ve always been fine when Hudson didn’t appear on public platforms and I’ve made that clear. My only reason to have him perform on my shows has always been to join the fun activities/trips with our family/siblings.”
Hall further accused Anstead, 43, of “using Instagram to assess what kind of parent I am as that’s the only access he has to my private life. … This is unnecessary pressure for a platform intended to be used to share select moments, rather than as a judgment tool … especially as this is a very small part of my personal life, with the rest between me and my family.”
Ultimately, the flip-or-flop alumna declared, “Hudson will be fine without his presence being indicated in any public forum,” closing the caption with a shoutout to all of her supporters.
“Thanks to all the people who can see past the nonsense thrown at me,” she added. “I am and will ALWAYS be a protective mother. ❤️.”
Hall’s comments follow claims by the Celebrity IOU: Joyride host that their 3-year-old son is being “exploited” by Hall. The two also spent 12 hours mediating regarding custody of Hudson, but came to no conclusion.
“The risks for a child working on a television production set (even if that ‘set’ is Christina’s home) are myriad and well documented,” says Ant, who also shares daughter Amelie, 18, and son Archie, 15, with his ex -wife shares Louise instead) – explained in court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Tuesday, September 27. “Aside from the obvious pressures of working in a television production environment, children involved in television production often have ongoing issues that affect their well-being, worldview, and self-image, leaving them debilitated and dependent on others’ perceived approval of theirs makes self worth.”
The English native stirred up even more controversy when she brought up the death in court filings of Kailia Posey, the Toddlers & Tiaras graduate who died by suicide in May.

“One of my many fears that Hudson will be forced to film reality TV is the possibility that public mockery of seemingly innocuous content will become an insurmountable humiliation,” the legal documents read. “I urge the courts to review the recent and tragic case of Kailia Posey and a defining embarrassing meme.”
For her part, Hall initially responded to these allegations through a filing filed and received by us later that day.
“The claim that I ‘exploit’ our son is really insulting and simply not true. After seeing what Ant wrote in his supplemental statement, it is clear that his motivation is not in the best interests of Hudson,” said the California native. She added: “I never exploited our son Hudson. He has appeared in a few of my own Instagram ads, each filmed under 5 minutes. I have all the footage and they were all fun activities that he enjoyed doing like playing with toys or baking cookies. These were organic moments for Hudson. Nothing was forced and they were filmed with a cellphone, not a production crew.”
Christina and Ant divorced in June 2021 after almost three years of marriage.
In April, the father-of-three filed for full custody of Hudson, alleging, among other things, that her son was in an unsafe environment while he was dating Christina.
“What Ant is doing saddens me deeply. If this was really about Hudson, as he says, this should have been handled privately with a private judge or arbitration, as I and my attorney suggested,” Christina told us in a statement at the time.
