COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – A man is now behind bars after he tried to flee from officers in court when he found out he was wanted.
According to the Coffee County Sheriff's Office, during a court hearing in a child custody case, Brandon Anthony Morgan learned that a misdemeanor warrant was out for his arrest and fled the courtroom.
WALB learned from Douglas Now that Morgan attempted to elude law enforcement by fleeing on foot, but was arrested by officers without incident just blocks from the courthouse.
He was taken to the Coffee County Jail, arrested on a warrant, and also charged with obstructing prosecution.
