divorce from his third wife,
Natalia Ilina
. It was then that Rahul chose not to talk about the breakup. However, the former pilot is now ready to talk.
“I’m very sensitive, but I don’t show it”
“It’s like a big earthquake happened in my life. The shaking is still there somewhere. There is a lot of trauma, but life goes on. You have no choice but to be strong,” says Rahul. We learned that Natalya left Rahul last July and the divorce came in January this year. Since then, the 48-year-old has been silent about what happened in his life. “I may not show it, but I’m very sensitive. Also, I’ve never talked about my private life, from my father’s death to now,” he says.
“I still have love and respect for Natalya”
Rahul continues to choose not to talk about what went wrong between him and Natalya and led to the divorce. “If I talk about it, it’s going to be a one-sided and biased story,” he says. He adds that he has no hatred for his ex-wife. “I still have love and respect for her. love never dies I have no contact with her and I don’t even know where she is. But love doesn’t just go away,” he shares.
“All my divorces have been mutual”
Meanwhile, netizens were quick to speculate that the two parted ways because Rahul wanted a baby and Natalya wanted child support. He quickly clarifies, “I never wanted to have a baby in this relationship. We never tried. Just Dimpy and I were trying to have a baby and we miscarried. Natalya and I had no plans for a baby, nor did I ever desire one. I’m 48, I don’t want a baby now.” On alimony he explains: “I never paid a single rupee alimony in any of my divorces – Shweta (Singh), Dimpy (Ganguly) and Natalya. All of my divorces have been consensual.”
“Sometimes relationships don’t work, it’s nobody’s fault”
As Rahul discusses his failed marriages, he admits he never expected them to end like this. “I never grew up thinking that I would get divorced multiple times. Nobody wants relationships to end. It is painful. My soul is torn. Sometimes relationships don’t work and it’s out of your reach. People are always looking for mistakes. Sometimes things happen and there is no reason. It’s not anyone’s fault. “Sometimes that doesn’t happen,” the former

“I’m in therapy to deal with my feelings”
Rahul is currently undergoing therapy to deal with his current state of mind: “I have therapists to help me manage my feelings. Seeking help through therapy is too stigmatized in India, but I see no shame in it.”
“Love is Frightening”
Ask him if he’s ready to fall in love again and he’s quick to reply, “I’m emotionally unavailable right now. I’m not properly healed. I recently started taking counseling. I need to repair and update my software first. I can meet someone, talk to someone but pyaar main nahi kar sakta weil mujhe darr hogaya hai. I work with my therapist on this fear. I have to heal, I’m not fit.”
