In 1991, actor Saif Ali Khan married then-diva Amrita Singh. After nearly 14 years of marriage, the duo had a messy divorce in 2004. By then they had two children –Ibrahim Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan.

An old interview with Saif recently surfaced online.

In the Throwback interview, Saif spoke about his ex-wife and that he was in a relationship with actress Rosa Catalano at the time.

Speaking to the Telegraph in 2005, Saif spoke about giving Amrita Rs 5 crore alimony after his divorce and had said: ‘I am to give Amrita Rs 5 crore of which I have already given her about Rs 2.5 crore. I pay Rs 1 lakh per month until my son turns 18. I am not Shah Rukh Khan. I do not have so much money. I promised her I’d pay the rest of the money, and I will, even if I have to work my ass off. Whatever I have earned from commercials, stage shows and films will be given for my children. I have no money. Our bungalow is for Amrita and the kids. and not to mention the relatives who joined her after I left.”

He had also spoken about living with Rosa in a “shabby two-bedroom apartment” but still felt like his self-esteem had returned.” He even shared how much he missed his children, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan .

He had said: “Why am I constantly reminded of what a horrible husband I was and what a horrible father I am? I have the photo of my son Ibrahim in my wallet. Every time I look at it I want to cry. I miss my daughter Sara all the time. I am not allowed to meet my children. You are not allowed to visit me, let alone stay with me. Why? Because there is a new woman in my life who would influence my children against their mother’ This is so much bullshit and Amrita knows it.”

Saif is now married to Kareena Kapoor Khan and has two children with the actress – Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan.

However, the four children share a close bond with each other.
