Relatives: There’s reportedly only one way Jesse Williams is allowed to communicate with his estranged wife
A judge has denied Williams, who is set to star in an April 4 Broadway production of “Take Me Out,” to alter his existing living plan, commonly referred to as the 2-2-5-5 plan: an agreement where a child spends 2 days with one parent, then 2 days with the other parent, followed by 5 days with the first parent and 5 days with the other parent.
PEOPLE reported that it was Williams’ schedule as an actor that created many situations where Drake-Lee “had a lot of juggling” and was the one “mainly rearranging her schedule,” according to court documents.
“Given [Williams] As an acting profession, it doesn’t appear that this schedule will necessarily become any more predictable going forward,” the documents read, PEOPLE reported. “It also doesn’t appear to be in the children’s best interests for their time with their father due to his changing drastically cut schedules to only visit during predictable time slots. This situation leads to an understandably frustrating experience for both parties.”
“It appears that once the play is completed in New York, his schedule will remain unpredictable,” the document continued. “It may be appropriate in the future if the facts show that this schedule could be exercised regularly.”
The 40-year-old actor left his famous role on Grey’s Anatomy after 12 seasons in May 2021, the New York Post reported.
The Post also reported that in April 2021, the couple were ordered to attend “conflictual” parenting classes because of their arguments.
The couple filed for divorce in 2017.
