Kevin Hunter sells $1.25 million mansion after losing legal battle over alimony checks

Kevin Hunter, Wendy Williams’ ex-husband, has finally sold his Florida mansion that he purchased after his divorce from Williams. According to Radar Online, Hunter was forced to sell the $1.25 million mansion after losing a lengthy dispute over payment of alimony checks.

Hunter’s mansion included five bedrooms and five bathrooms. It had a total area of nearly 3,500 square feet and was located in Parkland, Florida. He lived there for three years with his girlfriend and former lover Sharina Hudson after purchasing it for $795,600.

The television producer found herself in financial trouble after Williams reportedly stopped paying him her monthly maintenance after starting a legal battle with Wells Fargo over insufficient access to her extensive assets. The 59-year-old media personality claimed to be a victim of financial exploitation and said her funds had been frozen.

Hunter tried to fight for additional alimony, but the judge ruled it was not an urgent matter and dismissed the matter for now, despite Hunter claiming he was in financial distress.

He told the court: “I have fallen behind on most of my bills. I currently live in a community that requires homeowners association payments and am behind on this bill. If the condominium association’s contributions are not paid, there will soon be a risk of foreclosure.”

He continued: “I am behind on credit card payments because I have run out of money since the severance pay was suspended. My life has been severely impacted since the plaintiff stopped making payments under our settlement agreement.”

Hunter was eventually forced to sell his home after being sued by UBS Bank USA for reportedly owing $20,000 on his credit card. UBS asked the court to enter a default judgment in its favor because Hunter reportedly ignored the case after he was officially served with the relevant legal documents.

The lawsuit said, “Defendant failed to make the minimum monthly payments required by the cardholder agreement by the due date,” and called on Hunter to pay the total amount he owes as quickly as possible.
