Miranda Lambert gave a little taste of an unreleased anthem and announced a “big week” on the horizon.
The powerful singer-songwriter previewed “Alimony” on Instagram on Monday night (July 22) with a snippet of the unreleased divorce anthem. Lambert did not reveal when the song would drop, but she wrote in her caption that she's “heading toward a big week…💌.” Lambert has not yet offered any updates on the release date of “Alimony” or any other announcements as of publication time on Tuesday (July 23).
Lambert has released a few singles to announce her next musical chapter. Earlier this year, she ushered in her new era with “Wranglers,” a fiery revenge song that recalls her “Kerosene” days. “Dammit Randy” and “Ain't In Kansas Anymore,” which appears on the star-studded album Twisters, have since followed. Lambert's most recent full-length is Palomino, a 15-track project that arrived in April 2022. Palomino aimed to introduce a cast of characters as listeners embarked on a cross-country journey, with tracks like “Actin' Up” (which features lyrics that inspired the name of Lambert's Las Vegas residency), “Geraldene,” “Music City Queen” feat. The B-52's, “If I Was a Cowboy,” and more.
