A group of TikTok content creators made up mostly of Mormon moms made headlines earlier this summer when they went viral over a heated scandal — now one of the moms has sparked debate on social media for sharing a dance video about her made a custody battle.
Taylor Frankie Paul went viral in May when she announced she was divorcing her husband Tate Paul, fueling rumors that the couple were part of a Mormon swinger community.

The 28-year-old influencer took to Instagram to announce the divorce in May, writing: “The last eight days have been the greatest pain I have ever felt in my life. Family is no longer together. Tate and I are getting a divorce but I always love him very much but it’s for the best for us. A long painful road lies ahead, but I am confident that things will improve from here.
The couple share two young children and this week Paul took to TikTok to answer some questions about the divorce.
In one video, Paul punctuates the statement with a signature TikTok-style dance as he discusses their custody agreement.
“3 days 3 days off,” Paul captioned the clip, of her happily performing some moves in her living room.
“Both 50/50 split,” she continues as she wraps up the high-energy dance routine.
She captioned the post: “in the learning process of what works.”
This format of discussing a divorce and custody settlement has sparked debate on social media, with many TikTok, Twitter, and Reddit users criticizing Paul’s rather flippant way of discussing a serious topic.
“Not Taylor Frankie Paul aka the Mormon swinger tiktok mom she posts shaking her ass while posting the custody arrangements for her child(ren) 😭😭 like a girl WHAT”, it says in a tweet.
While another Twitter user added, “Taylor Frankie Paul abiding by the terms of her Tik Tok custody agreement really shows where we are as a country just laughing through the misery.”
On TikTok, another creator, Madison Gurdak, mocked Paul by making a parody version of her dance video.
“I think that should be used to break any bad news,” joked one commenter.
While another added: “Hahahahaha!! Honestly, I wish my parents would have told me that… much less traumatic.”
Paul addresses the backlash in a later TikTok in which she mimicked Mean Girls’ “I’m a cool mom” speech.
Paul’s divorce comes after the swinging scandal that rocked MomTok after she claimed during a live TikTok session that she and select friends and their partners had engaged in “soft-swap swinging.”
