Ne-Yo disagrees with estranged spouse Crystal Smith’s youngster assist request and suggests she get a job

Ne-Yo objects to Crystal Smith’s request for child support.

Court documents reportedly indicate that Ne-Yo wants joint custody of the three children he shares with Crystal. It also said he agreed that his marriage had “cracked irretrievably with no hope of reconciliation.” The documents also indicate that the singer/songwriter has denied the request for child support and only wants joint legal and physical custody. The documents also state: “[Ne-Yo] claims he is financially, physically and emotionally able to serve alongside Crystal as joint physical guardian of the parties’ three minor children.”

Ne-Yo is also reportedly demanding her Georgia mansion as “he has been solely responsible for the mortgage and maintenance of this property since the date of purchase.” He claims that he has bought three properties over the course of their marriage and has taken care of the maintenance himself.

On the other hand, Crystal Smith claims that since her split from Ne-Yo, she has been taking care of their three children and is seeking primary physical custody, joint legal custody. In a petition written on her behalf, Smith believes she “is entitled to a divorce from Ne-Yo because the marriage is irretrievably broken up and there is no hope of reconciliation since Ne-Yo committed adultery.”

“In the interest of our children, my family and I will face our challenges behind closed doors. Personal matters should not be discussed and analyzed in public forums. All I ask is that you respect the privacy of me and my family at this time.”
