“We are no longer married!”
It's officially over for Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon And Josh Effard's wedding.
The Ashley can exclusively reveal that the Mama June: Family crisis The stars were officially granted divorce on Monday, just months after Pumpkin filed for divorce.
Pumpkin and Josh, who have four children together, were able to reach an agreement on all aspects of the divorce, including a joint parenting plan, custody, division of assets and debts, and alimony.
On Monday, the judge granted a “full divorce” in the case, ruling that Pumpkin and Josh should henceforth be considered “separate and distinct persons, not bound to each other by any marital or civil contract.”
The ruling also made it clear that Josh and Pumpkin can now remarry if they choose. (As The Ashley previously reported, both parties have ended their relationship. Pumpkin is currently dating Josh's cousin.) Darrin Kitchenwhile Josh is dating a woman named Keely, who is supposedly pregnant with Darrin's child… no, seriously.)
Pumpkin and Josh, who married in June 2018, were each awarded joint custody and joint physical custody of their children, Ella, Stella, Sylus, and Bentley. Because both parties have joint physical custody, neither party was awarded child support. Pumpkin and Josh were required to equally split any medical expenses for the children not covered by their health insurance, as well as any school and/or extracurricular activity expenses.
(As The Ashley previously reported, both Pumpkin and Josh earn huge monthly earnings. TV Reality stars were forced to disclose their income for the child support schedule filed with the court earlier this month, and Pumpkin said she and her ex each make a whopping $20,000 a month.)
Obviously this money is not being used for parenting courses…
In their parenting plan – also obtained by The Ashley – Pumpkin and Josh agree to discuss and decide together on issues related to their children's education, religion, medical care and extracurricular activities. However, if they cannot agree on school or medical issues, Pumpkin will have the “final say,” according to the judge.
Josh and Pumpkin can take the children to any place of worship during their parenting time, and both have the authority to enroll the children in extracurricular activities.
The amount of time the children spend with each parent is to be equal, with the amount of time they spend with the children “at any time agreed upon by the parties.” If Pumpkin and Josh can't agree on the schedule in the end, the judge said the children will spend a week with Pumpkin, then a week with Josh, and so on.
Pumpkin and Josh proved that their divorce was amicable when they specified in the parenting plan that they would spend Christmas and Thanksgiving together with the children.
“You and the pregnant girl you’re dating can come to our house and enjoy the flavor of Hamburger Helper we’re serving for dinner tonight, Josh!”
They also agreed that the children may contact the other parent at any time and in any manner, as long as the communication does not interfere with their schedule.
In August, Pumpkin's mother, Mama June Shannon, took to social media to reveal how Pumpkin and Josh (and their new significant others) are dealing with their, um, unique situation.
“That's not weird at all! I mean, who hasn't dated their ex-husband's cousin at some point, right?!”
Amid recent rumors about a CPS case involving Pumpkin and Josh's four children, Mama June told her fans that she wanted to “speak out about the situation” while also providing some clarity about her grandchildren's current living situation. She also confirmed that Josh is already living with Keely.
“…There is no CPS case,” June wrote on Facebook. “The kids don't live with Josh's mom, Josh doesn't live with his mom, he lives with Keely, and Pumpkin lives at the family home…”
“ … At the moment every other week, [Josh and Keely] stay in the family home during the weeks they have children because the children don't do well if they can't sleep at home,” June wrote. “This is [their] was a safe place.”
In the comments section of the post, June confirmed that Josh and Keely take turns staying in the house with Pumpkin – and possibly Darrin as well.
Josh and Pumpkin's divorce will almost certainly play a role in the upcoming season of “Mama June: Family Crisis.”
