Parents with many children are deprived of the deferral of mobilization due to non-payment of maintenance

Parents with many children lose the deferral of mobilization due to non-payment of maintenance. This provision is enshrined in the Mobilization Law, which comes into force on May 18.

Currently, parents of three or more children are eligible for a deferment from military service. However, the postponement can be lifted if maintenance is not paid for three months.

The TCCs have access to the debt database to verify this information.

The Justice Department estimates this potential mobilization resource at 20,000 people. At the same time, the ministry believes that mobilization is not a punishment, but an opportunity to pay off their debts and provide for their children by serving in the army with relatively high salaries.
