The following report was delivered to Santa Clara County in February after the California Department of Social Services received “concerns” that the county attorney’s office was making important decisions that could put children in danger.
The state said that as part of its investigation, it had reviewed several cases of children who had been taken into protective custody by police, but that the county's Department of Family and Children Services “immediately returned the children to the care of the at-risk parents.”
Below the report you will find the official response from the district’s social services department.
