More than five years after the divorce Shannon BeadorPayments for child and spousal support, lump sum and other details about them and David BeadorThe agreement of was announced.
When the 60-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County Star navigates ex-boyfriend John Janssen's new relationship with Alexis Bellino47, who appeared on the show, it was confirmed that she receives five-figure sums a month from David, also 60, and that she was awarded a number of items when they split in 2019.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch Weekly on July 31, Shannon and David signed their divorce agreement on April 24, 2019, nearly two years after their separation after 17 years of marriage. They agreed to share joint custody and physical custody of their three daughters Sophie, 23, and twins Stella and Adeline, 20.
“The parties shall communicate with each other to ensure that the children are properly cared for at all times. The parties shall work together to promote healthy parent-child relationships between each party and each of the children, and neither party shall make derogatory comments about the other in the presence of the children,” their court order states.
Because they also agreed to continue living in Orange County unless the other party consented, David agreed to pay Shannon $10,000 in spousal support—less than child support, which was $2,935 at the time—and said he would contribute to medical expenses.
David will continue to pay spousal support to Shannon through April 1, 2029.
As RHOC fans may recall, prior to the agreement being finalized, Shannon was receiving $22,000 per month in temporary support.
“The agreement negotiated by the parties for this agreed contract is [David] will pay [Shannon] “$10,000 per month in child and spousal support for ten years and not more and not less than $10,000 per month in combined support,” their agreement stated.
As part of the deal, Shannon also gained ownership of several luxury cars, including a 2015 Cadillac Escalade and a 2018 BMW 7 Series sedan, as well as several bank accounts, her business, and all of her own furniture.
David, in turn, received a home in Corona, California, and several cars, including three Fords, a 2011 Land Rover, a 2017 BMW, a 2018 Porsche Carrera, and a 2019 Mercedes-Benz SUV, as well as all rights to his business and furniture.
In addition, David Shannon paid a lump sum of $1.4 million to “equalize the division of community assets.”
After reaching an agreement in 2019, Shannon and David clashed again in 2021 when David objected to their children appearing on RHOC, saying he “wanted to protect his new family,” which includes his wife. Lesley Beador and her three-year-old daughter Anna.
“I have a new family that I want to protect and not subject to a reality TV show,” he said in court. “I find it very disturbing that these proposed restrictions are not acceptable with [Shannon] and/or their legal counsel in view of the fact that [Shannon] and I both have joint custody. I am also concerned that these narrow restrictions are not acceptable with [Shannon] and her advice because it makes me feel that [Shannon] actually intends to kill either myself, my new wife or [and our] new daughter during the filming of this 16th season. That is absolutely unacceptable to me.”
But Shannon said: “My children grew up with the show and are looking forward to filming this season.”
“[David] “He then usually indicates that he agrees to the girls filming, but then makes ridiculous and unrealistic demands on the production company, the broadcaster and the parent company, often demanding compensation while threatening legal action if these demands are not met,” she added.
Ultimately, Shannon and David agreed to allow their daughters to film.
