Samantha Akkineni refuses to pay alimony of 200 crores rupees from Naga Chaitanya and his household

Tollywood’s most adorable couple Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni have left millions of fans in tears after announcing their split. Rumors have been circulating for some time that the once madly in love couple are no longer together. However, they remained silent and were careful not to badmouth each other during media interactions.

For those who don’t know, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya first met on the sets of their hit film Yeh Maaya Chesave. However, they did not fall in love at the time. Instead, their dating speculations began in 2015 when they were often spotted together. Their fans keep sharing adorable pictures of them using the hashtag “ChaySam”.

After Samantha and Chaitanya announced their split, rumors swirled that the actress received 200 crore in alimony. However, according to a report in India Today, Samantha had turned down a 200 crore alimony payment handed over to Chaitanya and his family. A source revealed that Samantha had decided not to take even a single dime from them.

The source also shared that Samantha is trying to focus on her work. She said: “It’s not easy for Samantha to get up and go to work every day. She is massively heartbroken. But she doesn’t want any project she’s associated with to suffer because of her personal life, and continues to be a 100% professional, bravely presenting herself every day. It’s not her fault to be unprofessional.”

On October 2, 2021, Samantha and Chaitanya announced their divorce. Her statement could be read as follows: “To all our well-wishers. After much thought and thought, Chay and I have decided to separate as husband and wife to go our own way. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade at the core of our relationship which we believe will always keep a special bond between us.”

On the work front, Samantha will next appear in Shaakuntalam from the Gunasekhar film.
