The Maintenance Fund today paid out temporary support totaling EUR 48,148.75 on the basis of 126 decisions by the Centre for Social Work in which a claim to temporary child support was recognised, the Ministry of Finance announced.

Of the total amount, EUR 44,741.17 was paid for provisional maintenance, while EUR 3,407.58 was spent on the costs of the enforcement proceedings, which were also acknowledged by the children in the solutions submitted to the Social Work Centres.

“When it comes to the structure of decisions by municipalities, the largest number refers to the decisions of the JU Center for Social Work Podgorica 34, then Nikšić 19, Budva 16, Bar 15, Mojkovac 10, Danilovgrad 9, Pljevlja 6, Bijelo Polje 5, Golubovci 3, Herceg Novi 3, Cetinje 2, Berane 1, Andrijevica 1, Plav and Kotor 1 solution,” the announcement says.

Temporary maintenance payments were made to 144 children based on 126 decisions issued by the social work centres.

The beneficiaries were five children under the age of five, 13 children between the ages of six and 77, and 14 children between the ages of 18 and 62.

If we look at the gender structure of parents who, as legal representatives of a child, have applied for provisional maintenance and whose children have been paid provisional maintenance, the proportion of fathers is 20 percent and that of mothers is 80 percent.

“In addition, following the payment of temporary maintenance in August 2024, the Maintenance Fund issued 91 decisions on the repayment of the amount of temporary maintenance paid,” the announcement said.
