AKIPRESS.COM – “Alimony payers somehow manage to evade responsibility, and such an opportunity is opened to them by law enforcement agencies and the Ministry of Justice,” said MP Vinera Raimbachaeva on April 22 during the meeting of the Parliament's Social Policy Committee.

She gave the example of a woman with two children who asked for help in collecting alimony, but the district and regional courts delayed the case and allowed the man to leave the country abroad.

“Who is responsible for that? Some of our men will continue to shirk responsibility while women will be left alone to deal with their problems. In addition, there are many cases where people abandon their elderly parents in nursing homes with the same goal of avoiding responsibility. ” she added.

The committee examines in first reading the draft amendments to the laws regulating maintenance issues.
