Who are Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth's children? Here's who gets custody after divorce – The Week
The Chennai Family Welfare Court on Wednesday approved the divorce of actor Dhanush and filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth, ending their 18-year married life.
This came after Dhanush and Aishwarya were seen at the court hearing in Chennai on November 21. The couple cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.
When Dhanush announced their separation on January 17, 2022, he posted on social media that they had decided to separate as a couple and take time to understand each other as individuals for the better.
“18 years of being together as friends, couple as parents and goodwill for each other. The journey was one of growth, understanding, adjustment and adaptation. Today we stand at a place where we part ways,” he wrote, urging everyone to respect their decision and privacy.
Who are Dhanush and Aishwarya's children?
Dhanush and Aishwarya tied the knot in 2004. They have two children, Yatra and Linga, and have been co-parenting them since their separation was announced.
They took turns taking part in the children's school events. According to local media, it is said that Dhanush and Aishwarya will continue to co-parent the children as they have been doing so far.
The news of the divorce comes as Dhanush approaches the Madras High Court to file a lawsuit against Nayanthara, Vignesh Sivan and Rowdy Pictures Pvt Ltd for copyright infringement. The case follows the Naanum Rowdy Dhaan visuals in Nayanthara's Netflix documentary produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films.
The docu-drama Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale was released on November 18.
