The divorce between sister wives Stars Christine and Kody Brown just got uglier after the 18-year-old father was caught trying to lie to his ex-wife about their custody case. Christine has been more than candid with viewers about how Kody has been an absentee parent. However, faced with the prospect of her daughter Truely being relocated to another state, Kody has decided to fight dirty.
Sister Wives viewers were disgusted by Kody’s behavior in a recent episode. He was clearly trying to get Christine to believe that she needed to file legal paperwork regarding Truely’s custody. While attending a sit-in, Kody revealed false information that said he and Christine would have to have a custody agreement or the state of Arizona would become the “owner” of Truely.

Kody admits to lying about child custody
During his sister wives confessional, Kody revealed a dark side and shared that he got “creative” when it came to discussing a custody agreement. Christine began to question the legal necessity of such an order, and Kody obviously panicked, claiming the “rule book” claimed so. However, in the state of Arizona, there is no legal requirement for the courts to accept a custody case if both parents have consented to a private plan. Kody even started acting like a bully when he told Christine that a lawyer would take all her money, so it would be in her best interest to get a legal 50/50 settlement.
Kody appeared to be grasping at straws with his claims, angering viewers in the process. The notion that Kody has such hubris that he would blatantly lie to the mothers of some of his children is a cause for concern. His actions suggest that he has no respect for Christine and actually considers her uneducated, assuming he can get her to submit. Christine took full notice of the lie when she mocked Kody in her side interview, asking cameras if Kody didn’t understand that she wanted him around her kids. Unfortunately, Christine is more than aware that Kody doesn’t trust her.
Kody hasn’t been a fan favorite in years, and his recent actions have left him in the doghouse with Sister Wives viewers. The current season has shown how angry and bitter Kody has become. Even his fourth and favorite wife Robyn isn’t enjoying being with him lately. Kody is fixated on the fact that once Christine backs out, he could potentially be targeted by the Utah government. Viewers are left with the feeling that Kody does more harm than good by lying, but he seems fixated on bringing down his ex-wife.
