Shakira and ex Gerard Pique ‘comply with promote their £12million Barcelona mansion’ after finalizing the custody deal
POP star Shakira and her ex-boyfriend, former Barcelona and Spain defender Gerard Pique, have reportedly agreed to sell their £12million mansion following a messy split.
The Colombian siren reached a custody settlement for the couple’s two sons, nine-year-old Milan and seven-year-old Sasha, last week.

Shakira, 45, and Pique’s home, half an hour’s drive from central Barcelona, in an exclusive gated estate in Esplugues de Llobregat, has its own recording studio and gym.
The five-storey house, consisting of two basement floors and three upper floors, also features a paddle tennis court and a mini soccer field.
Shakira is still living in the luxury home with her children but is expected to leave early next year if her father is well enough to make the trip to the United States.
Pique, 35, who retired from football last week after being sent off as a substitute for Barcelona, is currently living in a penthouse flat with his new girlfriend, 23-year-old Clara Chia.
The couple held marathon 12-hour talks last week to negotiate a custody agreement with their respective attorneys.
Later in the day, they said in a joint statement: “Our sole aim is to offer you the greatest possible security and protection and we trust that your privacy will be respected.
“We appreciate the interest shown and hope the children can continue their lives with the privacy they need in a safe and peaceful environment.”
The document was signed “Shakira and Gerard”.
As part of the deal, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer is moving to Florida with her two sons.
According to Catalan newspaper El Periodico, Pique, who made 397 appearances for Barcelona between 2008 and this year, will see his children 10 days a month plus holidays from next year.
It means he has to split his time between Spain and USA as he looks to build a new career following his surprise announcement of his retirement ahead of his last Barca game.
He is expected to begin house hunting in Florida shortly so he can have a base near his children.
Our only goal is delivery [our kids] with the utmost security and protection and we trust that your privacy will be respected
Shakira and Pique
Shakira, who has relatives and close friends in Miami, already owns a £14million mansion in the city.
She is believed to have put it up for sale in 2018 before quietly taking it off the market a few months ago.
Pique’s relationship with Barcelona-born beauty Clara came about shortly after he and Shakira announced their split in June.
The couple had been together for 11 years, having first met on the set of Shakira’s 2010 World Cup single “Waka Waka.”
In her new song, Shakira appeared to shadow her ex with references to his “narcissism” and “cold as Christmas” attitudes.
The video for Monotonia also features a mysterious man shooting a hole in Shakira’s heart.

In September, Shakira revealed a key reason for her split from Pique in a bombshell interview.
Speaking to Elle magazine, she claimed that she was forced to “sacrifice” her career for Piques and to be able to be with the couple’s children, but that he wasn’t willing to do the same for her.
Opening up about the “darkest time” of her life, Shakira said some details of the breakup are still “too private to share…everything is so raw and new.”
She claimed she was forced to put her career into ‘second gear’ because of her children while Pique continued his successful career with Barcelona and Spain.
“As a football player, he is [Pique] wanted to play football and win trophies and I had to support him,” she said.
Referring to the “victim,” she added, “Either him [Pique] would end his contract at Barcelona and move with me to the USA where my career is headed, or I would have to do that instead.”
She also hinted that she was the one “struggling” in the relationship.
“One of them had to make that effort and that sacrifice,” she said. “And I did it. I put my career into second gear and came to Spain to support him so he could play football and win trophies.”
It comes as Shakira faces separate legal troubles over a £13million tax fraud case.
In September, a Spanish court said the singer faces six separate charges.
