Danny Masterson’s custody agreement suggests he expects his time in prison to be significant

Danny Masterson has agreed to a drastic custody agreement, and given the terms, the convicted rapist is expected to serve the majority of his decades-long sentence – which he should absolutely be forced to do.

On Friday, TMZ reported that Masterson, 47, gave his estranged wife Bijou Phillips sole custody of their nine-year-old daughter Fianna. According to court documents obtained by the network, Phillips was awarded both custody and physical custody while the disgraced actor serves a 30-year prison sentence for raping two women in 2003. Given his age and the length of his sentence, Masterson may never experience life. He is out of prison again and his daughter will be well grown by the time he is released.

Although Masterson has waived his right to parental custody, he has requested visitation rights. If his application is approved, Fianna visits will be monitored at his assigned prison. Seems like a lot for a young girl, except for the fact that her father committed heinous crimes against women and had to go through a high-profile trial for his vile behavior. It is our hope for her that the court system takes a similar view on this matter and spares her additional trauma and heartache.

Masterson was convicted of rape in May 2023, 20 years after he forced himself on two women. Two weeks after being sentenced to 30 years in prison, Phillips filed for divorce from the former That ’70s Show actor. In her motion, the Raising Hope alum requested that Masterson be denied any financial support.
